AKILIMO on the arifu chatbot

AKILIMO has partnered with Arifu to offer agronomy advice on Arifu’s interactive learning platform. Arifu’s omnichannel chatbot allows users to access AKILIMO advice for free on both smartphones by WhatsApp and Telegram, or by SMS on feature phones.

To obtain customized fertilizer advice, users are requested to provide the state and local government in which they are located, the month in which they plant to plant, the yield they currently obtain in their cassava farm, and the prices of fertilizers and cassava produce in their locality.

They will receive customized recommended application rates of urea and NPK 15:15:15 fertilizer for their farm, optimized to maximize returns on investment in their situation.
