{"id":182,"date":"2018-02-22T17:58:20","date_gmt":"2018-02-22T17:58:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/develop.acai-project.org\/?p=182"},"modified":"2018-02-22T17:58:20","modified_gmt":"2018-02-22T17:58:20","slug":"project-synergy-through-harmonized-activities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/akilimo.org\/index.php\/2018\/02\/22\/project-synergy-through-harmonized-activities\/","title":{"rendered":"project synergy through harmonized activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The African Cassava Agronomy Initiative, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/acai-project.org\/about-us\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ACAI<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, project implementation in close collaboration with partners gives importance to the uniformity of project activities to harmonize the processes and the progress of the project, within the ACAI team and partners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Through regular trainings, project management meetings and synchronized data management systems, ACAI keeps all stakeholders abreast of the project critical path.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ACAI\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ona.io\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open Data Kit, ODK,<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides a central repository for project teams to upload, curate and access data for comparative analysis. Researchers have also developed protocols for field trial management and sample processing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trainings form an important component of the project\u2019s capacity enhancement and knowledge exchange. At the research stage of ACAI, scientist from IITA have organized trainings on analysis of scientific data using R, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/acai-project.org\/soil-sampling-laboratory-and-equipment-training-for-iita-acai-partners\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">laboratory processes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, destructive and non-destructive field monitoring, soil and plant sample collection as well as trial management.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Team interaction and sharing of experiences in the ACAI project are carried on through the project management tool ASANA and open discussions. \u00a0ACAI project trails are spread across Tanzania\u2019s Lake Zone, Southern Zone, Eastern Zone and on both Islands of the Zanzibar archipelago.
